Directions |
Directions to Event LocationsDirections for each event are generally listed in the entry for that event on the calendar page. If you are uncertain of the directions, please get in touch with the Contact Person for the event in question, or for immediate assistance, email cambridge@dzogchen.org. ParkingFor events held in the Harvard Square vicinity, please be aware that parking (especially for evening and weekend events) can be quite scarce and/or expensive. Please consider carpooling with friends, or taking advantage of Boston's extensive public transportation system (busses, subways, or taxis). All day on-street parking is virtually impossible to find in or around Harvard Square. In many areas, on-street parking is prohibited without a resident permit. Listed below are public parking facilities within walking distance of the locations where Dzogchen Center Cambridge events are held. HARVARD SQUARE PARKING GARAGE -- From Memorial Drive, turn onto John F. Kennedy (JFK) Street heading toward Harvard Square. At the first set of lights, turn left. The entrance to the garage will be immediately on your right. UNIVERSITY PLACE GARAGE -- Located beyond the Harvard Square Parking Garage. From Memorial Drive, turn onto JFK street heading toward Harvard Square. At the first lights, turn left onto Eliot Street. Go straight through the next set of lights onto Bennet Street, which dead ends. Turn left onto University Road and the parking garage will be on your right. CHARLES HOTEL PARKING GARAGE -- Located below the Charles Hotel and across from the University Place Garage. Follow the directions for the University Place Garage, noticing the Charles Hotel on your left when you enter Bennet Street. HOLYOKE CENTER PARKING GARAGE -- From memorial Drive, turn onto JFK Street heading toward Harvard Square, go straight through the first set of lights at Eliot Street. Turn right at the second set of lights onto Mount Auburn Street. Turn left onto Holyoke Street, the second street on your left. The Holyoke Center Garage entrance will be on your left. As this is a Harvard University Garage, they will check your car for security reasons. CHURCH STREET LOT -- From Memorial Drive, turn onto JFK Street heading toward harvard Square, go through the traffic lights at Memorial Drive, Eliot Street, and Mount Auburn Street. The next traffic light will put you in the center of Harvard Square, facing a newsstand called "Nini's Corner." Take a sharp left at "Nini's Corner," then turn right immediately onto Brattle Street. Take the first right onto Church Street, and the parking lot will be halfway up the street on your left. Coming from Massachusetts Avenue toward Harvard Square, Church Street is directly across from Johnston Gate, the main gate to Harvard Yard, also the last right before coming into the center of Harvard Square. If you miss it, you will pass Nini's Corner newsstand on your right, just after passing the Harvard Coop Bookstore, and you may follow the directions above. ALEWIFE MBTA STATION PARKING -- The cheapest option, it usually has plenty of spaces if you arrive in the morning. The T Station is at the intersection of Route 2 and Route 16, midway between Massachusetts Ave and Fresh Pond Circle. Alewife T is located on the Red line and any train will take you to the Harvard Square T station (the third stop from Alewife), in approximately five minutes.
