Monday Evening Sittings

The Dzogchen Center Cambridge meets every Monday evening at 7:30pm for Dzogchen practice at the Cambridge Friends Meeting House in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sittings are led by Lama Surya Das, Lama John Makransky, Lama Choying Palmo, or senior students. Each sitting includes 45 minutes of guided meditation, silence, and chanting. After a short break, we regroup for a discussion circle for 20 minutes. When Lamas are present they lead the meditation, then give a teaching and answer questions. Please check our calendar for specific details.

All sessions are open to and appropriate for anyone who is seeking or on a personal spiritual path. There are no special requirements for dress, notification, etc. We provide both cushions and benches to sit on. For directions and a map, click here. For specific questions about the Monday sittings, email cambridge@dzogchen.org

Foundational Practices

A practice group meets each month to do Dudjom Tersar Ngondro under the guidance of Lama Surya, Lama John and Lama Palmo. Ngondro are foundational practices to take refuge, affirm the bodhisattva resolve, offer one’s experienced world as mandala, purify the mind through Vajrasattva, and merge with the lineage of masters through Guru yoga. Permission from Lama John Makransky is a prerequisite.
