LAMAS' PRAYER LIST The Lamas’ Prayer List is maintained so that those associated with the Dzogchen Mandala may request prayers and blessings in support of themselves or others who are dear to them. Prayers may be requested for any individual who is suffering from sickness, old age, or death – the stormy waves of the ocean of Samsara. The names submitted are added to the Lamas' Prayer List, which is placed in a dedicated vessel on the principal shrine at Dzogchen Osel Ling near Austin, Texas. Prayers are offered by Lama Surya Das, Lama John Makransky and Lama Choying Palmo, as well as those practitioners engaged in daily practice in the Drolma Lha-kang (Tara Temple) at Dzogchen Osel Ling. All others are encouraged to join in these prayers. The Prayer of Compassionate Embrace as offered each day by the residents of Dzogchen Osel Ling is:
	PRAYER OF COMPASSIONATE EMBRACE I. We now join our Lamas in praying to noble mother Tara, earnestly requesting her blessing and calling on her to include in her compassionate embrace all those who practice here in her namesake temple, the Drolma Lha Kang, and all who support our practice through their love and sacrifice on our behalf. II. Divine Tara, in the name of Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche, Lama Surya Das, Lama John Makransky, and Lama Choying Palmo, we beseech you to grant your guidance and protection to all those named on the Lamas’ Prayer List who suffer from sickness, old age and the other travails of this life. May you intercede on their behalf by reducing their fear and suffering and enhancing their courage and equanimity, and include in your embrace all who care for and suffer with them at this time. III. Noble Tara, please watch over all those on the Lamas’ Prayer List who have passed into the bardo. Please act as a beacon to guide those who might now escape the cycle of birth and death toward the bright light of awakening. Shelter all others in their passage and help them to return to the path leading to ultimate enlightenment, and comfort those who are grieving and suffering the loss of their loved ones.
