Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche is one of the last living grand masters of Tibet. He was the Dzogchen master of the late Sixteenth Karmapa, and more recently of Kagyu regents Shamar, Tai Situ, Jamgon Kongtrul and Gyaltsop Rinpoches, as well as many other important lamas. He lives in retreat in Bodhanath near Kathmandu, Nepal, where his sons Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Choling Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche carry on his teachings.
