Ten Tips for Bringing More Spirit Into Your
Travel
1. bring along inspirational reading or music
2. set up a little altar or something beautiful in your room
3. make room in your daily schedule for regular exercise
4. call home each day along the way
5. practice little meditative breaks -- "moments of
mindfulness" -- or yoga and relaxation exercises intermittently throughout
a business day
For example, just take fifteen
seconds or one minute to
"Breathe, smile and relax. Enjoy an
instant, American meditation."
6. eat and drink right, and sleep sufficiently
7. cherish some alone-time for inwardness and reflection --
for example, connect with nature.
8. connect with family, friends and/or kindred spirits on the
trip
9. be a spiritual tourist: visit holy sites wherever you go
10. find inspiring entertainment during a trip, rather than unhealthy
variety
